Schield will not make any use of personal data for the purposes of telemarketing, and will not sell or disclose such data to third parties. Any data collected shall be used solely for the proper management of orders entered on the site. In what follows we set out the conditions about privacy and the processing of personal data.

This notice concerning the processing of personal data is given in compliance with art. 13 of Legislative Decree No 196 of 2003 (hereinafter “the privacy code”) for the benefit of users of services available on our website and supplied by way of the internet. The notice does not apply to any other websites that may be accessed through links on our site, and Schield accepts no liability for those other websites. The data controller of any personal data relating to identified or identifiable persons which may be processed following access to our website is [full name and address]. No data derived from our web service shall be disclosed or made available to third parties. Personal data supplied by users who forward orders for services shall be used solely for the purpose of supplying the services requested, and may not be disclosed to third parties unless such disclosure is required by law or absolutely necessary for the carrying out of the orders.

All data entered by the customer in the course of registering his account on store.schield.it shall be saved on the site database, and shall be used solely to take advantage of the services of Schield. Customer accounts, including all saved data, shall be stored in Schield’s database until such time as the customer may decide to cancel his account on the site. The IT systems and software routines required for the functioning of this website will obtain some personal data in the course of their normal operation, as the transmission of such data is implicit in internet communications protocols. The information in question is not collected in order to be associated with identifiable interested persons, but may by its nature allow users to be identified by reference to data held by third parties. This type of data includes the IP addresses or domain names of computers by which users connect to the site, URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) addresses of the resources requested, the time of the order, the means used for uploading the order to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code showing the status of the server response (successful, error etc.) and other parameters concerning the operating system and computer environment of the user. This data is used solely in order to compile anonymous statistical information about the use of the site and to check its proper functioning, and is deleted immediately after this has been carried out. The data may be used to trace the person responsible for any information offences committed which may cause loss or damage to the site.

It is entirely at the option of the user whether to send emails to any of the addresses shown on this site. When such emails are sent, our system will necessarily store the address of the sender so as to be able to reply, as well as any other personal data given in the message. Concise summary reports may be shown on web pages designed for particular services. Data about users is not deliberately collected by the site. We do not use cookies in order to transmit information of a personal nature, nor do we use so-called persistent cookies of any kind, or systems for the tracing of users. By cookies we mean any text which may only be entered on the hard drive of a computer following authorisation. The purpose of cookies is to facilitate the analysis of web traffic or record when a given website is visited, and allows web applications to send information to individual users. Apart from data about navigation, the user is free to supply personal data for the purpose of requesting the company’s services. Failure to supply such data may mean that the services requested cannot be obtained. Personal data is processed by electronic devices programmed to carry out the purpose for which the data is collected. Special security measures are taken to prevent data loss, unlawful or improper use of data and unauthorised access. Data subjects have the rights conferred by art. 7 of the privacy code, including the right to be informed of the existence of their data and to require that data to be deleted, corrected or updated.
